Job Title: Radiologic TechnologistJob Specialty: Diagnostic Imaging - CT TechnologistJob Duration: Shift: Night - 12x3 - 7 PMGuaranteed Hours: Experience: Minimum of 0 years; 2 years preferredLicense: - Must have or be eligible for obtaining within 1 year: Two of the following registries: ARRT registration in Radiology (R), Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR), Mammography (M), Nuclear Medicine Technology (N), Sonography (S), ARDMS registration in Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS), Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT), Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS), Registered Musculoskeletal Sonographer (RMSKS), Nuclear Medicine Technology (NMTCB).Certifications: - Current BLS certification (or must be obtained within 90 days).Must-Have: - Ability to legally work. - Ability to pass a background check.- Ability to pass a drug screen and breath alcohol test (if applicable). - Completion of employee health meeting.Job Description:- Responsible for quality and efficient completion of radiologic procedures for diagnostic interpretation.- Provide patient education, quality patient care, and ensure regulatory compliance.- Demonstrate advanced knowledge of imaging procedures in at least two imaging modalities.- Practice radiation safety adhering to ALARA standards.- Ensure female patients are asked about pregnancy and protected from harmful radiation.- Perform quality control consistent with manufacturer’s recommendations.- Operate equipment efficiently as per manufacturer guidelines.- Conduct exams based on Imaging Department Protocols or consult with the Radiologist for protocol requirements.- Assist with clerical duties and patient transportation as needed.- Handle phone calls, direct inquiries, and record messages accurately.- Assist, train, or cross-train imaging staff as directed.- Complete equipment downtime forms and promptly notify manager of any equipment issues.- Be flexible in rearranging work schedules to cover for emergencies, illnesses, and vacations.- Self-motivated, exercise independent judgment, and work with minimal supervision.- Notify Radiologist of all urgent cases and provide ordering physician contact details.- Obtain appropriate informed consents when required.- Document medical history pertinent to the patient and the procedure.- Work collaboratively as a team member in the hospital.- Manage ordering, stocking, and maintaining supply inventory.- Submit all written orders, registration documents, and required imaging forms to Health Information Management and Radiologist.- Troubleshoot equipment problems and contact service engineer for external maintenance when necessary.- Verify exam orders, patient identification, and provide exam education.- Ensure all relevant paperwork and prior studies are completed before submitting procedures for Radiologist interpretation.- Work additional hours as required and take calls as needed.- Obtain additional training or certification to meet department needs.- Assist or rotate to other imaging modalities as required within the scope of licensure or registry.- Support holiday and weekend coverage as necessary.- Represent the organization positively and professionally.- Establish and maintain effective communication and good working relationships with patients, staff, and vendors.- Comply with attire/dress code and maintain patient confidentiality.- Attend or review departmental and organizational staff meetings and complete required education, training, and licensure.- Participate actively in performance improvement and quality activities.- Uphold regulatory requirements and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and policies.- Follow infection control, safety, and risk management policies to ensure a safe environment for all.
