Job Title: Cath Lab Tech Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Cath Lab Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours (06:45 - 17:15) Experience: Minimum 2 years required, 1st-time travelers accepted with 3 years of experience License: Must be in hand prior to start date Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, ARRT, RCIS Must-Have: - Circulate and Conscious Sedation experience required - Experience with Acist injector, Siemens C-arm, Philips C-arm, Medrad power injector, Rotopro, Diamondback, IVUS, OCT, Shock wave, Rampart, Pneumbra, Inari - Skills in accessing and managing ports, cardiac implant closure device, cardiac stent placement, catheter/drain exchange, central venous access, and others outlined in job specifics Description: Minimum experience required is 2 years. 1st-time travelers who have 3 years of experience are accepted. The Cath Lab Tech will participate in various cardiac and interventional radiology procedures. Procedures include left heart catheterization, right heart catheterization, balloon pumps, temporary pacemaker insertions, and more. The role also involves venous access, drainage placement, GI tube insertion, and handling internal bleeds. Certifications required are ACLS, BCLS, and either RCIS or ARRT. The candidate is expected to float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate facilities as needed. Call is required a minimum of 2 days a week and every third weekend. Travelers must be flexible and willing to take on additional responsibilities as necessary. The ability to work in a variety of intensive patient care settings is essential. Candidates should possess strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with an interdisciplinary team. Adherence to safety and infection control protocols is mandatory. Candidates must have 2 supervisor references available upon request. Fishing is 100% required for all travelers, with candidates required to float within the hospital or to nearby facilities. Compliance with background policies prior to the offer is necessary.
