Job Title: Cardiac Cath Lab Tech Profession: Cardiac Cath Lab Tech Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 10.5 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RCIS or ARRT preferred Certifications: BLS, ACLS Description: Unit Information: Number of Beds: 4 rooms, 1 patient per room Number of Staff: 22, consisting of RNs and Techs Type of Staff: - Day Shift: Director, manager, minimum 3 staff members per room - Night Shift: On-call team, 4 staff members on STEMI call Patient Ratios: Estimated 1:1 Type of Equipment: All GE rooms Documentation System: Meditech and MacLab Call Requirements: Maximum of 15 days call during critical periods Typical Procedures Performed: - Cardiac Cath - Cerebella angiograms - Stents - Balloons - ENT Lab - Scrubbing Additional Preferences: Previous travel experience preferred, easily adaptable to fast-paced unit, can function well independently Dress Code: Surgical Scrubs, unit will provide scrubs Awards/Recognition: Daily huddle calls, development of relationships with director, staff, and patients is paramount Gold seal of approval, well-run department, excellent director
