Job Title: Occupational Therapist Job Specialty: Rehabilitation Therapy - Occupational Therapist Job Duration: Not specified Shift: M-F, Days Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum of 1 year (new graduates are welcome to apply) License: Active Colorado Occupational Therapy License or valid compact license Certifications: Current CPR (BLS) certification (within 90 days of hire) Must-Have: Ability to legally work in the country, pass a background check, and complete employee health meeting Job Description: - Work primarily with outpatient pediatrics, outpatient adults, and some subacute inpatient adults as needed. - Provide one-on-one treatments and evaluations in a professional environment. - Conduct therapy sessions with a focus on patient care, team collaboration, and growth mindset. - Assess and interpret evaluations and test results to determine occupational therapy treatment plans. - Help patients develop or regain physical or mental functioning and adjust to disabilities through various programs and activities. - Issue adaptive equipment and customized splints when necessary. - Evaluate results of occupational therapy and recommend adjustments and modifications. - Complete discharge planning in consultation with healthcare professionals. - Document patient care services using EMR charting in compliance with industry standards. - Engage in ongoing professional development to maintain clinical practice consistent with best practice standards. - Collaborate with the school-based team for Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) if applicable. - Provide in-home occupational therapy services for homebound patients if applicable. - Participate actively in departmental and facility performance improvement and continuous quality initiatives. - Demonstrate commitment to performing according to organizational values and maintain patient confidentiality. - Establish and maintain effective communication and relationships with patients, staff, and vendors. - Strive to promote health, create a safe treatment environment, and motivate others.
