Travel Physical Therapist (PT) - $2,306 per week in Muncie, IN

Job Title: Inpatient Physical Therapist Profession: Therapy/Rehabilitation Specialty: PT Inpatient Rehab Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Hours Experience: Minimum 1 Year License: State Licensed Certifications: BLS Must-Have: - Experience in acute care - Knowledge of adaptive devices - Skills in AROM/AAROM/PROM - Familiarity with assessment and evaluation techniques - Ability to educate patients and families Description: Inpatient Physical Therapist responsible for providing therapy services to patients. Daily patient load is between 8 to 10. First-time travelers are welcome. No weekend work is required. The clinician will not be required to be on-call. Floating within the scope to meet facility needs is not expected. There are opportunities to accommodate a block schedule which can be discussed. Local candidates are accepted. The clinician must work 2 out of 3 major holidays. Guaranteed hours are for 8 and 10-hour shifts totaling 40 hours in one week. Special requirements include skills in safety and injury prevention, patient education, and various therapeutic techniques. The facility consists of acute care units, including ICU, ortho, neuro, and surgical units. Patients are seen to prepare for discharge to home or another facility. Collaboration with nursing, case management, occupational therapy, and speech therapy is essential. Expected skills include pain assessment, strength testing, sensory response, and maintaining skin integrity. Additional skills may include discharge planning and using assistive devices.
