Required Qualifications Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution. Current Pharmacist license in the state of New York. Minimum of 6 months of experience in oncology pharmacy or infusion pharmacy services. Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required. The OIP ensures that the Cayuga Cancer Center pharmacy provides optimal services; facilitates safe medication use, meets all legal, accreditation, and certification requirements; and complies with all applicable policies, procedures, codes, and standards as they pertain to all areas served by the Cayuga Cancer Center pharmacy. Job Responsibilities include: ? Enforces policies and procedures that promote safe, appropriate, cost-effective chemotherapy/medication use. ? Manages all oncology pharmacy services staff in production of all types of admixtures, verifies accuracy of procedures, proper chemotherapy regimen interpretation, order validation, drug preparation and labeling.
