Job Title: CT Technologist Profession: CT Technologist Specialty: MSBI Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Friday 12am-8am, Sunday 12am-8am, Monday 12am-8am Hours per Shift: 7.50 Experience: 2 years of recent experience required License: Client License (L.R.T) Certifications: ARRT certification in Radiography and CT, BLS certification Must-Have: 1 year of CT experience, Graduate of Radiologic Technologist program Description: Requires the utilization of appropriate kV and mA techniques to ensure quality diagnostic CT images. Performs daily quality control calibration checks on all equipment to ensure proper operation before any patient study. Injects patients with radioactive material as per the physician's order following the prescribed protocol. Observes all department documentation policies by filling in all appropriate logs, manuals, and charge documents. Reports equipment problems to comply with regulatory agencies. Performs quality control, quality assurance, and safety tests. Follows radiation safety guidelines to comply with the ALARA principle. Maintains and retrieves patient films and electronic data for Radiologist interpretation. Orders patient-specific radiopharmaceutical doses one day prior to use. Receives radiopharmaceutical on the day of delivery and verifies receipt according to policy and procedure. Verifies activity level of the dose prior to administration.
