About the Position Position/Specialty: OR CST Shift: 3x12s (6:45a 7:15p) On-call REQ: 1-2 nights a week Weekend REQ: 1-2 weekend in a six-week period of ORs:9 Will this traveler float between service lines (Y/N) Yes Floating Req to Sister Facilities: (Y/N): Yes, may be required to float between Downtown/Northeast/Kershaw campuses due to census and/or staffing needs. Required/Preferred Years of experience REQ: 1 years of experience as long as they have lots of general surgery experience. First-timers accepted (Y/N): Yes National Certs REQ: BLS, NBSTSA. MUSC does NOT accept NCCT Radiation Badge REQ: Yes. Radiation badge MUST be provided by agency; MUSC does NOT provide radiation badges to travelers Miscellaneous Open to accommodating block schedule? (Y/N): Requires managers approval upon request. Dependent on unit's needs Local Radius: 60 miles Locals Accepted: Yes, on a case-by-case basis at 10% less the posted bill rate RTO Restrictions for Client Offers: All RTO must be included at time of submission. Approval will be based on facility needs Guaranteed Hours: Facility is allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks. Called off hours can be broken down to add up to 1 shift Hospital Highlights Type of Facility: Acute Care Hospital Total Staffed Beds: 304 Scrub Color: OR-Hospital Issued Scrubs Charting preferred: Epic Parking Cost: Downtown parking lots require a parking pass which we distribute at badge pickup. There is no fee to park. Parking lots and garages available. Garages clearance is only for average SUV truck. Hurricane Season Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season, all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams. If this is a problem, please ensure travelers do not confirm a NEW or EXT assignment during the season. Hurricane season runs from June through November each year. The peak months for hurricane activity are August and September.
