Position Summary The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) supports the delivery of physical therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. The PTA assists patients across all age groups—from newborns to seniors—in regaining strength, mobility, and independence. Responsibilities include implementing components of care plans, assisting with therapeutic exercises, educating patients and families, and ensuring therapy areas are safe and well-organized. Key Responsibilities Assist patients with stretching, strengthening, and therapeutic exercises to improve mobility and function. Follow care instructions provided by the supervising Physical Therapist to ensure continuity of care. Collaborate with Physical Therapists to assess patient progress and adapt treatment plans as needed. Educate patients and families on at-home therapy techniques to support ongoing rehabilitation. Provide patient support during transfers, including moving patients safely between equipment and therapy areas. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized therapy environment. Complete administrative duties, including appointment scheduling, documentation, and record keeping. Instruct patients in therapeutic techniques such as balance training, mobility, and functional skills.
