Tyler Houk (Practice Director) with Robert Half is looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our team in Fresno, California. This role is integral to ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial processes within the agriculture industry. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational skills, a proactive approach, and a commitment to maintaining high standards in recordkeeping and reporting.
Responsibilities:
• Assist the General Manager and Controller with financial and administrative tasks.
• Monitor harvest payment processes and maintain accurate records.
• Oversee recordkeeping for organic crop certifications to ensure compliance.
• Prepare and manage monthly billing for farm operations.
• Support pesticide use reporting and documentation efforts.
• Handle accounts payable and payroll processing with precision.
• Maintain organized filing systems and manage document workflows.
• Contribute to grant applications, safety training materials, and website updates.
• Collaborate on special projects to enhance operational efficiency.
• Proficiency in both spoken and written Spanish is preferred.
• Experience designing and implementing document management systems.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, including macros and pivot tables.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to business writing and grammar.
• Prior experience in agriculture or a strong interest in the industry is advantageous.
• Familiarity with account reconciliation, billing, and invoice processing.
• Ability to manage data entry tasks accurately and efficiently.
• Knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable workflows.
