We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cybersecurity Integrated Architect to champion and implement robust cybersecurity architectural principles and design patterns. In this pivotal role, you will advise engineering teams on developing secure products and enterprise tools in both multi-cloud and on-premises settings. As an integral member of the product and engineering teams, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our security practices and reducing risk.

With your deep expertise in cybersecurity, you will collaborate across teams to address unique security challenges prevalent in our business units and their products. Reporting directly to the Director of Integrated Cybersecurity Architecture at Cox Automotive, your contributions will have a significant impact on our security posture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Articulate cybersecurity guidelines to engineering and business teams while supporting their implementation.
  • Remain closely integrated with engineering teams, providing guidance on architecture decisions and cybersecurity controls.
  • Contribute to identifying and mitigating cybersecurity risks through proactive threat modeling.
  • Offer cybersecurity architecture advice and consultation at major program and solution levels.
  • Engage with cybersecurity colleagues to foster a cohesive cybersecurity department and represent cybersecurity concerns within product and engineering teams.
  • Collaborate with enterprise architecture, infrastructure, and engineering teams to assess current architectures, pinpoint security gaps, and recommend enhancements.
  • Participate in security incidents to identify design weaknesses and propose preventive measures.
  • Educate architects and engineers on cybersecurity best practices and standards.
  • Work with legal and compliance teams to align cybersecurity architecture with regulatory and contractual requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and a minimum of 6 years of experience in related roles.
  • At least 4 years of dedicated experience in cybersecurity.
  • Hands-on experience with designing, securing, or operating AWS infrastructure and services.
  • Ability to communicate complex cybersecurity policies to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Exceptional customer service, writing, and presentation skills.
  • Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with stakeholders across various teams.
  • Proven ability to evaluate risks and recommend actionable solutions based on business impact.
  • Deep understanding of contemporary cybersecurity frameworks and architectures.
  • Creative problem-solving capabilities alongside sound business judgment.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies.
  • Proven track record of initiating change and implementing solutions in Fortune 1000 companies.
  • Familiarity with industry regulations and cybersecurity frameworks including GDPR, NIST, and ISO 27000.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in developing and implementing cybersecurity best practices for all layers of hosting and application technology.
  • Knowledge of IAM, cryptography, and security protocols.
  • Experience in application security practices.
  • Extensive knowledge of technology stacks including Python, .NET, and cloud service architectures.
  • Familiarity with firewalls and network security architectures.
  • Experience with the AWS Well-Architected Framework.
  • Experience in establishing cloud enterprise strategies in AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Understanding of cloud containers and serverless platforms.
  • Experience in critical infrastructure sectors.
  • Experience in high-profile consulting firms or Fortune 500 companies.
  • Possession of relevant cybersecurity certifications.

Compensation:

Salary range: $119,600.00 - $199,400.00 annually, depending on factors like location and the candidate's experience. Additional compensation may include an incentive program.

Benefits:

The company offers a flexible vacation policy, seven paid holidays, up to 160 hours of paid wellness leave, and additional paid time off for various circumstances. Employees are also eligible for parental leave and military leave.
