The facility has a total of 373 licensed beds, including acute and inpatient rehabilitation beds. There is a 30-bed emergency department. The ICU consists of 46 beds, and there are 40 PCU beds and 70 observation beds. The operating room features 14 suites. The facility is not designated for trauma cases. Services offered include X-ray, CT, Ultrasound, MRI, Interventional Radiology, and Nuclear Medicine, with Radiology Nursing support. The facility is TJC Stroke accredited. Travelers must live at least 50 miles away from their home unit. The average inpatient census is around 400. First-time travelers are welcome. Patient types include those in the emergency department, inpatient units, observation units, and outpatient care. Common procedures performed include embolizations, port insertion/removal, nephrostomy tube insertion, IVC filter placement/retrieval, biliary stent procedures, vascular stent placement, angioplasty, and various catheter insertions and exchanges. Required skills include familiarity with GI bleeds and embolization procedures. Only one tech will be working overnight, while three techs are scheduled daily for rotating duties. There is support from nursing staff and radiologists. The electronic medical record system used is Epic, and PACS is Philips iSite. Department-specific equipment includes a Philips monitoring system.
