Overview:

Client is looking for an SAP Architect focused on supporting the firm's ERP implementation by contributing expertise in SAP Cloud ERP data architecture.

As part of our Application Modernization efforts, we focus on simplifying core operations, consolidating applications, replacing legacy systems, and implementing best-in-class technologies that drive digital transformation.

We are seeking an experienced ERP Data Solutions Architect to play a critical role in supporting clients implementation and integration of the SAP Cloud ERP platform along with the migration of legacy financial systems from acquired companies.

This role is pivotal in ensuring the integrity, scalability, and consistency of our core business processes as we grow through mergers and acquisitions.

Responsibilities:

Serve as a technical and functional lead for SAP Cloud ERP data architecture related to integration and migration, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and business objectives.

Design and oversee data integration and migration strategies for SAP Cloud ERP platforms, including onboarding of newly acquired entities or systems. Maintain ownership of current state, transitional and target state architecture deliverables.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Finance, HR, CRM, IT, M&A Integration, and Enterprise Architecture to gather requirements and define end-to-end data migration and integration plans.
Provide architecture oversight, including data modeling, mapping, process alignment, master data management (MDM) and technical support during ERP onboarding and transformation initiatives.

Configure ERP data components and conduct iterative unit testing to validate data flows, transformations, and system behavior.

Identify and resolve data-related system issues, optimize configuration, and ensure data quality, integrity and consistency across ERP modules.

Align SAP Cloud ERP data capabilities with broader enterprise platforms such as Snowflake, Informatica, Microsoft 365, Power Platform, and Dayshape to enhance automation, analytics, and reporting.

Ensure consistency and interoperability by aligning ERP data architecture with enterprise data principles, governance frameworks, and metadata standards.

Lead or support platform enhancements, proofs of concept, and roadmap planning for ERP data solutions, ensuring alignment with business priorities and strategic initiatives.

Monitor SAP Cloud ERP updates, innovations, and best practices, and proactively assess their applicability to the organizations data architecture and operational needs.

Support data security, privacy, and compliance efforts, ensuring ERP data handling aligns with regulatory requirements such as GDPR, SOX, and HIPAA.

Provide thought leadership and mentorship to technical teams on ERP data architecture best practices, tools, and emerging technologies.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent work experience may be considered.

7+ years of progressive experience in IT and ERP environments, with a strong focus on SAP Cloud ERP platforms.

Proven experience in implementing, configuring, and supporting ERP applications, with a deep understanding of end-to-end business processes across Finance.

Extensive knowledge of SAP Cloud ERP data architecture, including data modeling, integration patterns, and master data management.

Working knowledge of SAP Cloud ERP functional configuration, sufficient to support troubleshooting and cross-functional collaboration.

Demonstrated success in M&A integration projects, particularly involving ERP system migrations and data harmonization.
Hands-on experience with ERP REST APIs and ERP integration frameworks for real-time and batch data exchange.

Strong background in Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) and back-end data connectivity tools; Informatica IDMC and Snowflake experience preferred.

Proficiency in ABAP, SQL / PL/SQL, with the ability to adapt to SnowSQL and other cloud-native query languages.

Familiarity with software development lifecycles, agile methodologies, and experience with full lifecycle ERP implementations.

Strong understanding of data governance, security, and compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, SOX, HIPAA).

Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP) and modern data architectures is a plus.

Certifications in SAP, Informatica, or cloud platforms are desirable but not required.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business language.

Proven ability to deliver complex, time-sensitive projects in a dynamic, cross-functional environment.
