As a Full Time Phlebotomist, you'll provide care to our client, Kwik Trip's employees and their dependents in our Health Center located in La Crosse, WI.
Schedule
- 40 Hours Per Week
- Mon - Fri (Hours to be Determined)
- Clinic Hours: Mon & Tue 6:30 am - 4:30 pm; Wed, & Thu 9:00 am - 7:00 pm; Fri 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
Responsibilities
- Works independently, in a safe and appropriate manner in accordance with safety and organizational policies and procedures
- Assists with supply inventory
- May instruct phlebotomy procedure to new employees
- Understands and abides by all of the BSFHC infection control guidelines and safety procedures; knows location and use of MSDS material and use of emergency equipment
- May require other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Current national certification (required for WA, CA and LA) in Phlebotomy from a Premise Health approved organization OR Certificate/Diploma and Transcripts from an accredited Phlebotomy program with hands on externship completed and passed
- CPR (BLS for community/lay responder or Healthcare Provider/Professional Rescuer) Certification must include “hands on" evaluation of skills by the trainer/instructor. Total online courses will not be accepted. Course must also meet the American Heart Association (AHA) standards but need not be an AHA certificate.
- Six months to one year phlebotomy experience in a healthcare environment or satisfactory completion of an approved phlebotomy course and completion of 100 hours clinical experience
