This is an on-site position. Regular, predictable, and reliable attendance and punctuality are expected to ensure performance of the essential function of the job, including scheduled meetings and shifts. This is a 37.5 hour per week position. May require working alternate hours or alternate locations upon request to support campus mission.

Function/Summary
Serves as the first point of contact with visitors and customers and aids individuals by responding to routine questions, providing general information, answering the main phone line, performing general clerical duties, and assisting with student requests and outreach as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
High school diploma or GED. Associates degree preferred
Experience:
Six months full-time general office experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Ability to maintain a welcoming environment Competence in a variety of office software programs Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and interpersonal) Maintain positive working relationships with students, faculty, and staff Manage sensitive and confidential material Organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize as needed
Duties/Responsibilities
Office Administration 40%
Greets guests, answers telephones, and assists customers in the Early College Office. Provides answers and technical assistance for routine questions and refers complex questions or requests to Early College Advising staff Presents a welcoming environment for guests (internal and external) by keeping materials stocked and assisting current and potential students with application assistance Orders office supplies, completes purchase, travel, merchandise, and marketing requisitions, and maintains all forms, handouts and information necessary for applicants and employees Checks and maintains Early College email Assist with the scheduling, development, and implementation of Early College events Assembles informational folders
Student Assistance 30%
Schedules advising appointments with Dean, Program Coordinator, or other designated advisors Works with Dean of Early College to coordinate, implement, and attend recruiting events for Early College Provides student assistance with applications, email, and WVUP systems Answers inquiries about admission procedures, billing, and general course offerings Maintains confidential information and assists students and stakeholders in understanding FERPA guidelines Resolve application issues and follow up on missing or incomplete applications and registrations
Early College Support 25%
Attend Early College Recruitment events and work with students, parents, and schools to answer basic questions (Evenings, Days, Weekends) Assist in the planning and facilitation of Early College events both on and off campus Works with Dean of Early College to devise and implement communication plan for students in each county as well as marketing and enrollment activities. Represents WVUP Early College both within and outside the office to students, stakeholders, and partners. Travels to high schools to assist with applications when other staff are unavailable Correspond with students taking courses on or off campus to schedule advising and testing. Work with marketing team to create all Early College marketing materials both online, print, and social media
General 5%
Other duties and support as assigned.
