New World Aviation, Inc. is an FAA Part 135 Air Carrier and Part 145 repair station servicing both FAA Part 135 and Part 91 aircraft. Role Summary The Sr. Quality Control Inspector performs advanced airworthiness, conformity, and quality inspections in accordance with FAR Parts 43, 135, and 145, the RSQM, and OEM/approved data. The role leads inspection flow (preliminary, hidden damage, in-progress, and final), final acceptance of incoming material and outside work, RII compliance, calibrated tooling oversight, regulatory reporting, and inspector mentorship. The Sr. Inspector also creates and reviews Return-to-Service (RTS) paperwork for completeness and accuracy, coordinates corrections with Maintenance and Quality as required, compiles the final RTS package, and provides it to the customer. Responsibilities include preliminary package review of outsourced maintenance to ensure compliance with the operators regulatory requirements and coordination with internal and external stakeholders to protect safety, quality, and schedule.

Key Responsibilities Leadership & Planning Lead day-to-day QC workload planning and prioritization in coordination with Maintenance, Materials, and Production Control. Provide mentorship, on-the-job training (OJT), and coaching to inspectors and technicians; support qualification to Personnel Roster authorizations. Perform preliminary package review of outsourced maintenance to ensure compliance with the operators regulatory requirements. Provide oversight for the Calibrated Tooling Program; ensure calibration status, records, and recalls are maintained. Safety, Quality & Compliance Ensure that repair station records, work order reports, and forms are completed properly prior to releasing product for return to service. Verify that no defective, unserviceable, or unairworthy parts are installed in any component or article released by the repair station. Ensure Required Inspection Item (RII) procedures are followed and documented accurately; coordinate RII holds/releases. Maintain proficiency with inspection methods, techniques, practices, aids, equipment, and tools; complete required initial and recurrent training per RSQM. Exercise stop-work authority for safety or quality concerns; escalate promptly and document findings per company procedure. Technical Execution Perform and/or lead preliminary, hidden damage, in-progress, and final inspections on all articles processed by the repair station. Perform final acceptance of incoming materials and new parts; verify supplier documentation and airworthiness of articles on which work has been performed outside the repair station by contract. Perform airworthiness inspections on articles on which work has been performed outside the repair station. Oversee proper tagging and identification of all parts and components; ensure rejected or non-repairable parts are properly marked, quarantined, and rendered unusable. Complete FAA Form 337s for major repairs and alterations as required; provide the original to the customer and retain a copy with the Work Package. Review RTS paperwork for completeness and accuracy; ensure corrections are made as required; compile and deliver the final RTS package to the customer and file records per policy. Authorize closure of floorboards and panels removed for maintenance; request rework of improperly performed maintenance; initial the maintenance block upon final acceptance. Coordinate AOG/unscheduled events with customers and internal leadership; deploy as needed. Communication & Customer Focus Coordinate with Leads, Supervisors, Quality, and customers on inspection findings, corrective actions, and RTS deliverables. Provide clear written and verbal status on discrepancies, corrective actions, and documentation requirements. Support customer debriefs and provide the final RTS paperwork package to the customer.

Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Current Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license. 3+ years of experience as a maintenance inspector or 5+ years of corporate/business jet maintenance experience, with demonstrated RII and final-inspection responsibilities. Knowledgeable of applicable FARs requirements. Proficient with OEM technical data and maintenance tracking/documentation systems (e.g., AMM/SRM/WDM/SB/CB/IPC; CAMP/Corridor/CMP). Must be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Must be willing to work in an environment subject to changing climate conditions and moderate noise levels. Strong problem-solving, organization, and communication skills; sound judgment in a team environment. Ability to read and understand Company and Manufacturer Manuals. Must be able to lift 70 pounds or more on a regular basis and to bend/squat repeatedly and stand for long periods of time. Valid drivers license and ability to obtain airport/SIDA access as required. Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States. Mechanics (A&P): 14 CFR 65.71 Preferred Qualifications Experience in a Part 135 and 145 Repair Station quality organization, including RII, SDR, and calibration program oversight. Experience with digital RTS documentation workflows. Experience with CAMP, Corridor, CMP, and digital RTS documentation workflows.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements Frequent standing, walking, climbing, bending, and kneeling; work at heights and in confined spaces as required. Use of ladders, stands, and powered ground support equipment, exposure to moderate noise. May require irregular hours, weekends, and on-call/AOG support.
