As a Manual Tester, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of software applications across web, mobile, and desktop platforms. You will work closely with developers, business analysts, and QA engineers to execute test cases, identify defects, and validate fixes, ensuring that products meet both functional and non-functional requirements.
Accountabilities:
- Review and analyze requirements, specifications, and technical design documents.
- Develop, maintain, and execute detailed manual test cases.
- Perform functional, regression, smoke, system, integration, and UAT testing.
- Identify, document, and track defects using tools such as Jira, Bugzilla, or Trello.
- Validate bug fixes and enhancements in subsequent releases.
- Conduct cross-browser, cross-platform, and device testing.
- Assist in creating and maintaining test documentation, including test plans, scenarios, and reports.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, providing feedback on usability and overall product quality.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in manual software testing.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and defect lifecycle.
- Hands-on experience with test case management and defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, Zephyr).
- Basic knowledge of SQL and familiarity with API testing tools (Postman, Swagger).
- Good understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Preferred: mobile app testing experience, basic automation knowledge (Selenium, Cypress), performance/security testing familiarity, ISTQB Foundation certification.
