Job Description

About the Team: Works integrally with maintenance, production, quality, and other plant functions in the quotation process for potential business, plan and launch of new production programs, analysis and solution of process problems, and continuous improvement.

What you can look forward to as a Manufacturing Engineer:

  • Support quotation process for potential business.
  • Coordinate installation and validation of new equipment for new programs or volume increases.
  • Maintain and improve existing processes and equipment.
  • Provide trouble shooting support to existing processes and equipment.
  • Analyze and plan production capacity, space requirements, workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
  • Determine product specifications for the purchase of equipment, materials, tooling or parts, according to specifications, quality and ZFPS standards.
  • Contact potential suppliers for production equipment and makes the final technical choice.
  • Responsible for the implementation of the equipment on the floor from delivery to hand off to production.

Your profile as a Manufacturing Engineer:

  • High School Diploma or GED (Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) strongly preferred).
  • Prior experience in assembly/manufacturing environment, plant layout, cost analyst, budgeting, blueprint reading, pneumatics and hydraulics.
  • Ability to train other associates in assigned work areas.
  • Ability to communicate with associates, supervisors, technicians and managers.
  • May be required to work modified schedule to support customer requirements (i.e.: overtime, vacation coverage, off-shifts, 8 and/or 12-hour schedules, holidays, etc.).
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
