Andretti Indoor Karting & Games is seeking a Receptionist to join the team. Experience with family entertainment centers is great, but not necessary. Position Summary: A part-time Receptionist is responsible for anticipating guest needs and exceeding guest service expectations while providing a fun and exciting atmosphere. All positions assist guests in various areas and adhere to Andretti’s standards of quality guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome visitors by greeting them in person, via email, or by telephone.
  • Answer the telephone within the 2-ring guideline and follow up on missed calls.
  • Check, respond to, and distribute voicemails or messages to the appropriate persons.
  • Screen and communicate calls for the department manager and other management personnel.
  • Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access to the reception desk.
  • Perform clerical duties such as filing, faxing, photocopying and transcribing.
  • Receive and sort daily mail and deliveries.
  • Create and run documents using Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Anticipate and respond to guests in a friendly and positive manner with a sense of urgency.
  • Assist with guest recovery and notify a manager to ensure positive guest experiences.
  • Maintain working knowledge of the Andretti brand, products, policies, and procedures.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally while interacting with guests and co-workers.
  • Work as a team to meet guests’ needs and support other departments.
  • Observe, instruct and monitor guests for safety and guideline adherence.
  • Attend all required department and company meetings and training sessions.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area in compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Be aware of and knowledgeable about facility emergency procedures.
  • Perform opening, running, and closing department duties as assigned.
  • Prior guest service or hospitality experience is preferred.

Skills & Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Desire and ability to be pleasant, upbeat and sociable throughout the workday.
  • Ability to work a varied schedule including days, nights, holidays and weekends.

Physical Requirements

  • Walk or stand for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
  • Ability to bend, reach, turn, climb and perform stocking as needed.
  • Ability to communicate quickly and accurately.
  • Work may involve bright/dim/flashing lights and loud sounds.
  • Manual dexterity to operate necessary equipment.
  • Follow safety standards at all times.
