Our client is seeking a Product Design Hardware Engineer to join their team. As a Product Design Hardware Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting global teams. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a proactive mindset, and excellent problem-solving abilities, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Product Design Hardware Engineer

Location: Charlottesville, VA

What's the Job?

• Assist in developing new electronic product designs and support existing product manufacturing processes
• Identify suitable components for digital and analog circuits and develop validation tests for design qualification
• Read, modify, and generate electronic schematics, collaborating with layout engineers for implementation
• Use diagnostic and test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and logic analyzers to characterize and validate hardware components
• Prepare detailed documentation, reports, and communication materials to support development activities

What's Needed?

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field
• Experience reading and creating schematics, wiring diagrams, and selecting electronic components
• Proficiency with electronic diagnostic tools such as digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, and power supplies
• Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external vendors
