Overview
The HR Specialist (Irving, TX - Remote) is responsible for the onboarding and tracking of all new hires. This role creates offer letters, submits background checks, facilitates I-9 completion, and ensures the new hires onboarding task checklist is complete. The HR Specialist acts as a liaison between recruiter, manager, and candidate to onboard the candidate efficiently and effectively.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinates and tracks candidates through the onboarding process from offer acceptance through day one. Ensures all onboarding tasks are completed (i.e. offer letter, background check, I-9, systems set-up request, etc.).
- Acts as a liaison between recruiter, manager, and candidate for a smooth onboarding.
- Participates in weekly meetings with HR Specialists to reconcile candidates in the onboarding process.
- Assists HR Business Partner in making employee record changes in the HRIS System and ServiceNow.
- Monitors the HR Inbox for incoming emails that relate to questions regarding payroll, benefits, unemployment claims, verification of employment etc.
- Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings.
- Assist the HRBPs with any additional projects and tasks and performs other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
Education
- Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience required
Experience
- Minimum one (1) years related experience
- Mortgage Industry Preferred
Functional/Technical Skills
- Competence with HRIS and ATS systems
- Microsoft Office products: Word, Excel, Teams
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Possess strong time management, organizational skills and the ability to multitask
- Maintains courteous, professional, and effective working relationships with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively and meet deadlines.

Work is typically performed in a standard office environment.
