Under the Store Manager’s guidance, MITs lead by example, demonstrating initiative and strong leadership. Through operational oversight and team development, store management supports AutoZone’s mission of providing trusted automotive solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Leadership – Assist the Store Manager in supervising, training, and developing high-performing employees, fostering a motivated and engaged team.
  • Communication – Maintain clear, effective interactions with customers and employees to ensure smooth store operations and positive experiences.
  • Metrics – Monitor sales goals, inventory accuracy, and performance standards to drive business success.
  • Process – Follow store procedures, manage inventory, oversee cash handling, control shrink, and ensure operational efficiency.
  • Teamwork – Work with store staff and commercial department leaders to maintain seamless operations and customer service excellence.
  • Parts Sales & Inventory – Lead efforts to exceed sales targets, optimize inventory, and manage returns and merchandising.
  • Safety & Compliance – Enforce PPE, promote risk management, and uphold safety standards.
  • Commercial Account Support – Assist in managing commercial and hub departments for timely deliveries and customer needs.
  • Problem Solving – Resolve customer concerns and store issues promptly while upholding company policies.

Qualifications

  • Leadership: Demonstrates integrity, decision-making skills, and strong leadership abilities.
  • Flexible Schedule: Availability including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
  • Communication: Exceptional communication skills in both Spanish and English.
  • Automotive Retail: Prior experience in automotive retail.
  • Certifications: Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification.
