Cybersecurity Analyst role at Booz Allen Hamilton. The Security Operations Center (SOC) analyst responds to and mitigates threats in real time and acts as the first line of cyber defense. This role involves securing critical infrastructure from cyber-attacks for the DoD.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze threats using state-of-the-art tools.
• Monitor, detect, and respond to cybersecurity alerts; review logs, tool output, and intelligence sources; investigate security events and follow escalation processes.
• Identify and recommend improvements, prepare reports and informational documents, and work in a team environment.
• Collaborate with the team to understand, mitigate, and respond to threats quickly, restoring operations and limiting impact.
• Analyze incidents to determine affected systems and assist recovery efforts.
• Combine threat intelligence, event data, and recent assessments to identify attacker goals and patterns to stop attackers.

You Have

• Experience with information systems
• Ability to work well within a team setting
• Ability to work a rotating shift schedule supporting a 24/7 environment
• Secret clearance
• HS diploma or GED
• DoD 8570 CSSP Analyst Certification

Nice If You Have

• Experience with DoD STIGs and SRGs, and hardening guidance
• Knowledge of ESS, ACAS, DoD SIEM platforms, or Microsoft Sentinel
• Top Secret clearance
• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or Engineering
• DoD IAT III Certification

Clearance

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.

The posted range for this position is $69,400.00 to $158,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate represents typical salary range and is one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation. The posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
