Overview

The Zimmerman School of Advertising & Mass Communications at the University of South Florida invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Instruction, a nine-month, full-time, continuing non-tenure earning position with a start date of August 7, 2026. Salary is negotiable. The Zimmerman School's location in Tampa, Florida—the 11th largest media market in the United States—offers opportunities for internships and career advancement in a diverse and thriving community near a booming business and technology corridor. Minimum Qualifications

Master's degree from an accredited institution in video production, film, broadcast news, mass communications or a related field, and professional experience and expertise in video production and editing are required. Applicants must submit a video reel.

Preferred Qualifications

Preference will be given to applicants with experience with mirrorless/DSLR/Cinema cameras, proficiency with video editing software, and at least two years of experience teaching university undergraduates.
