Aegis Worldwide is partnered with a manufacturing client near the Muncie, IN area who is looking to add a Production Supervisor to their team. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Production Supervisor with a strong background in production scheduling and operations management. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience leading teams in a manufacturing or industrial setting, ensuring efficient production flow, adherence to schedules, and continuous process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to meet established production goals and schedules.
• Lead and manage a team of production operators, ensuring proper training, task delegation, and performance management.
• Develop and maintain production schedules in coordination with planning, procurement, and inventory control teams.
• Monitor workflow and adjust staffing or processes to optimize efficiency and throughput.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies.
• Analyze production data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address material shortages, equipment downtime, or other disruptions.
• Conduct regular team meetings and shift handovers to communicate priorities, updates, and performance metrics.
• Maintain accurate documentation and reports related to production output, labor, downtime, and materials usage.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives including lean manufacturing, 5S, and waste reduction efforts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a production supervisory role with a strong emphasis on production scheduling or planning.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop production teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, workflow optimization, and lean principles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficient in using production management software (e.g., ERP/MRP systems) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or related field preferred.
