Cullerton Group has a new opportunity for a Production Engineer in Lincolnwood, IL. The work will be done onsite. This is a permanent job. Compensation is $110,000/yr + benefits. Our customer will pay for relocation assistance.

Summary of Position

Production Engineer is a position focused on supporting and enhancing the production processes. Works closely with front line manufacturing (production), collaborates with other departments, and implements continuous improvement initiatives. Provides technical support and contributes to a safe and efficient production environment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Works closely with Engineering Manager to analyze and optimize manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall production
• Collaborates with other departments including Product Development, Technical Service, and Quality Control to streamline production processes
• Utilizes Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software to create detailed models and drawings of mechanical systems and process improvements
• Acts as technical expert on production floor to include training production staff on new processes and/or equipment
• Identifies and researches opportunities for process improvements, cost reduction, and efficiency gains for Production
• Leverages background in plastic injection molding experience to continuously improve plastic production environment
• Collaborates with Product Development to handoff new systems, equipment, and/or products to production
• Identifies and resolves issues with machinery and extrusion processes
• Schedules and oversees preventive maintenance of production equipment
• Writes and maintains SOPs as needed
• Adheres to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment
• Adheres to all company/departmental policies and procedures related to safety
• Performs other duties as assigned
