Overview
Terramac is looking for a Production Manager at our St. Louis, MO location. The Production Manager is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating all manufacturing activities related to production. You will ensure that production goals, quality standards, and cost-efficiency targets are met while maintaining a safe and organized workplace. You will work closely with Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and other departments to ensure smooth production and delivery processes. The Production Manager is responsible for maintaining daily production paperwork and monitoring daily production operations and informing the Plant Manager of potential issues. You will provide training to Production employees and perform the same labor functions as Production Technicians when required.
What You’ll Do:
- Be responsible for daily Production operations and reporting any new developments or concerns to Plant and Division leadership.
- Lead and manage Production team to meet operational and business requirements.
- Coordinate with the Supply Chain and Procurement teams to ensure timely availability of materials and components.
- Monitor daily manufacturing operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met.
- Analyze Production data and key performance indicators to identify areas of improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Train new personnel on existing production protocol, safety, and facility equipment.
- Enforce all company employee, facility, and health and safety policies and procedures.
- Regularly coordinate with Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and other support departments to ensure productive and efficient operations.
- Perform Production Technician functions as needed.
- Stay aware of all Production jobs and ensure safety and quality are in place on all jobs.
What You’ll Need:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Supervisory experience required. Strong leadership skills are essential.
- 3-5 years of mechanical, automotive, or electrical assembly experience required.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- High level of discretion, confidentiality, and work ethic.
- Flexibility, ability to change direction with ease.
- Safety and Quality orientation.
- Self-directed and able to work both independently and within a team environment.
- Positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
What Helps:
- Technical school certificate or degree in a relevant field is a plus.
- Experience with assembling heavy equipment, such as construction equipment, preferred.
