Overview
Production Supervisor role at Allied Reliability. Under the leadership of the Production Manager, the Production Supervisor will oversee production operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met. Key responsibilities include supervising production staff, monitoring workflow, implementing process improvements, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to meet production targets and quality standards.
- Plan and prioritize production schedules to optimize resources and minimize downtime.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the production team to achieve performance goals; train and cross-train employees on various production functions.
- Manage production goals including waste, labor, throughput, and ensure maintenance of production equipment.
- Ensure timely initiation of production lines, efficient changeovers, and monitor labor cost.
- Collaborate with maintenance, quality, warehousing, and other departments to ensure safe, smooth production flow.
- Enforce safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment; follow OSHA safety rules.
- Monitor employee performance, provide feedback, and implement disciplinary actions when necessary.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes, reduce waste, and enhance productivity.
- Implement and enforce compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Safe Quality Food (SQF) guidelines, and FDA regulations.
- Actively participate in recruiting to support department hiring needs as necessary.
- Provide daily recaps and corrective action recommendations to operations leadership in areas including safety, quality, cleanliness, yield, and efficiency.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Production Manager.

Education And Experience
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of one (1) year in a manufacturing supervisory role.
- Experience in food manufacturing desired.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control principles, and safety regulations.
- Proficient with software packages such as JD Edwards, Excel, Word, Microsoft Teams, Email, Internet, and PowerPoint.
