Position Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Production Scheduler to join our dynamic manufacturing team. This role is critical to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of production activities across our cabinet manufacturing operations. The Production Scheduler will coordinate schedules, optimize resources, and support on-time delivery of products while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
Reports To: Production Manager
Hours: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm Monday – Friday
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production and shipping schedules based on customer orders, inventory levels, and production capacity.
- Collaborate with the Production Manager, purchasing, inventory, and operations teams to align schedules with material availability and labor resources.
- Monitor production progress and adjust schedules to address delays, bottlenecks, or changes in demand.
- Ensure timely completion of production orders and coordinate with shipping to meet delivery deadlines.
- Analyze production data to identify trends, improve forecasting, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Communicate effectively with internal departments to resolve scheduling conflicts and provide updates on production status.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in production scheduling, manufacturing planning, or operations coordination
- Proficiency in scheduling software and ERP systems (experience with cabinet or woodworking manufacturing systems is a plus)
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities and the ability to work across departments effectively
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field preferred
