JOB SUMMARY

The Production Scheduler will have a strong understanding of the production process and be able to generate and maintain effective daily, weekly, and monthly schedules. They will communicate and post schedules, solve production problems, seek to improve processes, and help fulfill company expectations to ensure deadlines are met by the committed date.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Create and maintain short term production schedules weekly and out months 1, 2 and 3
  • Assign labor and resources in the most effective manner
  • Assist with updating current tools as plant moves from legacy planning system to SAP environment
  • Provide quick responses to production resource issues
  • Identify problems and help improve processes
  • Use available software to generate reports and schedules
  • Ensure that production deadlines are met
  • Support Short Term Capacity Planning, including working with Production and Planning teams to develop realistic production plans and hosting Weekly/Monthly Supply Review meetings with management team
  • Be a key contributor to SAP implementation, including assisting with scheduling design template and working closely with production and SAP teams to align on required master data for resources and labor

WHO YOU ARE

  • Supply Chain degree or 3 to 5 years of relevant experience
  • Strong proficiency and experience with scheduled planning in SAP
  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Ability to create and understand reports to make production decisions
  • Desire to promote the success of the organization and production and planning staff
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Willingness and ability to challenge data and drive results
  • Able to learn systems quickly and analyze various data sets
