Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Production Manager (Plastic Thermoforming).

Responsibilities

• Manage, supervise, and train the production team to ensure smooth operations.
• Oversee operation of 4 thermoforming machines and solve challenges to achieve high-quality plastic parts.
• Manage downtime and ensure machine repairs are performed quickly and production resumes.
• Oversee operation of 2 CNC routers used to finish parts.
• Improve safety and quality processes and documentation.
• Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demands.
• Monitor production processes and adjust to optimize efficiency.
• Ensure trucks are received and goods are shipped correctly.
• Ensure maintenance and repairs are performed effectively.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Collaborate with other departments to coordinate production activities.
• Train and mentor production staff to enhance their skills and performance.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
• Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions.
• Maintain accurate production records and reports.

Experience Required

• Previous experience in a production management role.
• Minimum 5 years plastic thermoforming experience.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and manufacturing processes.
• 5 years experience with CNC router operations.
• Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools for fabrication and assembly.
• Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Familiarity with operating forklifts safely and efficiently.

Skills

• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of process improvement methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, etc. is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

Education

• Bachelor\'s or associate degree preferred.

Job Details

• Job Type: Full-time
• Shift Timings: Currently, the shift is 4-10s, from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, may move to 5-8s or another 5-day arrangement.
