Job Title: Production Engineer

Job Location: Huntsville, AL

Project Duration: 12 months with possible extension

(Looking for Automotive/ powertrain experience)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

What you’ll be doing

Developing process plans for production lines within the powertrain department with direct support from the Manager.

Directly supporting other engineers or technicians through mentorship.

Leading the cost planning, budget creation, machine specification, procurement, validation, installation, pre-productions trials and launch of production lines.

Requirements:

Travel Percentage: 10 % - 30% for Domestic Travel. 1% Changes for Travel to Japan.

Steel Toes shoes will be required for this role. 80% of time on shop floor.

Shut down period - December

The primary responsibility of this position is to prepare, coordinate manufacturing equipment to support new model launches as well as unit plant competitiveness.

What you bring

Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Engineering or similar technical field or 5+ years of automotive engineering experience

Experience in production preparation of manufacturing and experience in execution of capital projects, preferably from initial planning to start of production. (1 year Required)
