Duties and responsibilities
- Oversee daily millwork production operations, ensuring schedules and quality standards are consistently met.
- Manage and optimize the use of the ERP system for production scheduling, purchasing, inventory, and reporting.
- Lead, mentor, and develop production staff; foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Supervise and coordinate purchasing activities, maintaining vendor relationships and negotiating cost-effective contracts.
- Ensure proper management of raw materials, inventory, and supplies to prevent shortages and delays.
- Direct the shipping and logistics department, ensuring accurate and timely deliveries.
- Monitor and maintain production machinery and equipment, coordinating repairs and preventative maintenance as needed.
- Develop and implement production processes and best practices to maximize efficiency and reduce waste.
- Work closely with senior leadership to align production capabilities with company goals and client expectations.
- Forecast production schedules.
- Oversee Purchasing department.
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety standards, policies, and procedures.
