This position involves teaching psychiatric nursing in our ABSN program at the Fresno campus. It combines teaching and service responsibilities, with a focus on creating engaging learning environments and supporting student development.

Responsibilities include:

• Creating learner-centered teaching environments using diverse methods based on educational theory and evidence-based practices.
• Mentoring students, assessing their progress, and supporting their learning plans.
• Maintaining competence in teaching subjects and collaborating to ensure curriculum integrity.
• Preparing assessments and supervising clinical rotations in various settings.
• Participating in faculty meetings and university committees, and serving the community and profession.

Qualifications:

• Master’s in Nursing required; Doctorate preferred.
• Experience teaching diverse students at the baccalaureate level or higher preferred.
• Unencumbered California RN license or eligibility.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and in teams.

Details:

Regular, full-time position with a workload of approximately 1872 hours annually, including teaching and service hours. Salary range: $81,000 - $108,000, commensurate with experience.
