Travel Nursing Job Details
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $2350 - $2520 per week
- Assignment Type: Locum tenens (Travel Nursing Contract)
- Location: Anchorage, Alaska (99508) – Alaska nursing jobs
- Facility: Acute care, Magnet-recognized, Level II Trauma Center
- Assignment Length: 13 or 26 weeks (your choice)
- Start Date: October 27, 2025
- Shift: 4x10-hour day shifts (07:00 - 17:00)
- On-Call: 1 day per week and every 4th/5th weekend (Friday 18:00 – Monday 07:30); approximately 1 Saturday per month as part of scheduled shifts
- Guaranteed Hours: 70 hours per 2 weeks (traveler may be called off for 1, 10-hour shift per 2 weeks)
- Charting: Epic EMR
- Scrubs: Provided
- Parking: Free
IR RN Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent Interventional Radiology RN or Cath Lab RN experience
- Active Alaska RN license (pending accepted, must be in hand for offer)
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Experience with Epic charting system
- Willingness to float within scope to Electrophysiology (EP) or IR as needed
- Must reside at least 50 miles from facility (no local candidates)
- Ability to work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
- Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
IR RN Responsibilities
- Deliver expert nursing care to patients undergoing interventional radiology and cardiac catheterization procedures
- Circulate and assist with advanced IR procedures: angioplasty, stent placement, embolization, central venous access, and more
- Monitor patients during procedural sedation and respond to emergencies as needed
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including physicians, technologists, and clinical support staff
- Float to EP or IR lab as required to meet facility needs
- Participate in on-call rotation and provide coverage during weekends and holidays
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation using Epic EMR
- Follow infection prevention, isolation precautions, and all facility protocols
