ER RN Travel Nursing Job Details:

• Location: Alamogordo, NM 88310
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 10/20/2025 – End: 1/17/2026)
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing (locum tenens ER RN)
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (multiple start times: 3pm – 7pm)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Requirement: 6 weekend days per 6 weeks
• On Call Requirement: 2 on-call shifts per 6 weeks
• Floating: May be requested but is unlikely
• Nurse/Patient Ratio: 1:4-5
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1570 - $1680

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active RN license in New Mexico or compact state
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA required)
• Current TNCC certification
• Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department nursing experience preferred
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Ability to complete orientation and competency validations

ER Nurse Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive emergency nursing care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
• Care for a broad spectrum of patients: clinic cases, strokes, STEMIs, Level I traumas, post-surgical complications, pregnancy issues, pediatrics, behavioral health, and all emergency department needs
• Administer medications and treatments per protocol; monitor for effectiveness and side effects
• Accurately document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on health conditions and available resources
• Delegate tasks and assignments to other healthcare providers as appropriate
• Participate in scheduled on-call and weekend rotations
• Maintain annual competency verification and engage in ongoing professional development
