Onsite Laydown Coordinator – Night Shift at Worley. This role focuses on the safe, efficient organization and movement of materials within the laydown yard and associated work areas during night operations, supporting continuous progress on construction and installation projects.

Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials in the laydown yard during night shift operations to support project schedules.
- Safely load, unload, and relocate materials using forklifts and other handling equipment in compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
- Maintain accurate records of material movement, ensuring alignment with inventory management processes and project requirements.
- Inspect materials upon arrival for damage or discrepancies and report findings promptly to supervisors or project teams for resolution.
- Manage laydown yard organization to optimize space utilization and ensure clear, safe access routes for equipment and personnel.
- Oversee handling of hazardous and non-hazardous materials in accordance with regulatory and environmental guidelines.
- Collaborate with logistics, warehouse, and construction teams to confirm material availability for scheduled work activities.
- Provide guidance and support to team members on material handling procedures, equipment use, and safety best practices.
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts aimed at enhancing material handling efficiency and reducing environmental impact.
- Prepare and deliver reports on material status, inventory levels, and operational issues to night shift supervisors or project leadership as required.
Qualifications / Skills
- Completion of an official apprenticeship or equivalent qualification in a relevant trade or material handling discipline, with certification as applicable.
- Strong experience in material handling or laydown yard coordination, preferably in industrial or construction environments within the energy, chemicals, or resources sectors.
- Advanced proficiency in operating material handling equipment such as forklifts and other machinery, with strict adherence to safety standards.
- Knowledge of laydown yard organization principles, material flow optimization, and inventory management practices.
- Ability to interpret regulatory codes, safety guidelines, and company procedures related to material movement and storage.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective coordination with logistics, construction, and project teams during night shift operations.
- Problem-solving skills with the ability to address material handling challenges under minimal supervision.
- Familiarity with systems, processes, and tools for material tracking and reporting, with the capability to assist others as needed.
