About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled maintenance professional to work with our Maintenance team at our Jackson, WI facility. The facility is located just north of Milwaukee and is easily commutable with easy on/off freeway access.
What You'll Do:
You’ll work to complete building repairs, equipment installation, troubleshooting and installation, fulfillment of assigned work orders and unforeseen repairs in a timely fashion. You’ll follow good manufacturing practices to maintain inventory, preventative maintenance, good housekeeping and ensure compliance with all safety and environmental laws and regulations.
Position Responsibilities:
- Inspects and tests machinery, and equipment.
- Performs Preventative Maintenance on all equipment including forklifts, HVAC systems, air compressors, boilers, and all Production equipment.
- Listens for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discusses machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem or repair machine.
- Dismantles machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.
- Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearing, gears, and other parts of machinery.
- Installs and repairs electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
- Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
- Repairs and maintains physical structure of the facility.
- Sets up and operates machine tools such as lathe, grinder, and drill to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs and fixtures, and tools.
- Operates cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
- Troubleshoots all problems and performs regular preventative maintenance.
- Initiates purchase orders for parts and machines as well as work orders.
Preferred Qualifications and Knowledge:
- Knowledge and ability to operate production machines, forklifts, scissor lifts, and related equipment.
- Ability to use various hand and power tools.
- Ability to understand and effectively carry out oral and written instructions.
