Maintenance Technician
Our Maintenance Technicians are responsible for troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of operations/production equipment.
Responsibilities
- Safely perform maintenance tasks using basic hand tools and basic power tools.
- Experience with machine shop equipment preferred.
- Ability to weld or experience with metal fabrication preferred.
- Diagnose and resolve issues with production welders, torches, saws, and metal finishing equipment in a timely fashion; experience with sand blast, powder coat, oven, or conveyor systems preferred.
- Diagnose, maintain, and install production hoists promptly.
- Diagnose and resolve issues with overhead roll doors throughout the facility.
- Maintain and troubleshoot other operations/production equipment as directed; experience with sand blast, powder coat, oven, or conveyor systems preferred. Safely and proficiently operate fork trucks and aerial lifts; rigging experience preferred.
- Perform electrical maintenance tasks, including troubleshooting and circuit movement; experience with multimeters or electrical testing equipment preferred.
- Perform mechanical maintenance tasks, including troubleshooting and rebuilding; experience rebuilding/maintaining weld feeders, plasma torches, and saws preferred.
- Maintain good housekeeping practices and uphold 5S standards.
- Read and interpret manuals and technical drawings; demonstrate basic computer and communication skills.
- Be highly motivated, organized, and a self-starter, capable of executing work from a daily schedule; experience with preventive maintenance preferred.
Required Education and Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Experience or education in machine operation and repair.
- Welding competency and knowledge of welding systems.
Physical Demands
This position is very active, requiring 98% standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing ladders. The employee may need to lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
Travel
Travel may be required to secure necessary parts or tooling.
Work Authorization/Security Clearance
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
