Job Summary and Qualifications

Emergency Room Nurse

Registered nurses provide and coordinate care for patients, collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to support physical and psychological needs. Daily responsibilities include assessments, developing care plans, medication administration, documentation, education, equipment maintenance, and communicating patient needs.

What you will do in this role:

• Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patient conditions with accurate documentation.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess patient status.
• Demonstrate knowledge of human development, assessment, treatment, and care appropriate to patient ages.
• Promote hospital customer service initiatives.
• Use the nursing process to meet individual patient needs.
• Perform technical skills and procedures competently.

Qualifications:

• Current RN licensure by the TN Board of Nursing or a compact state.
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• ACLS and PALS certification within 1 year of employment.
• CPI certification within 6 months of employment.
• At least 1 year of ER nursing experience preferred.
