We’re hiring a dependable Forklift & Material Handling Technician to join a growing manufacturing team in Portland. This role is about 80% forklift/material handling and 20% light maintenance - ideal for someone who knows how to keep operations flowing and can assist with small equipment fixes when needed.

What You’ll Do

  • Operate forklifts and manage material movement across the plant
  • Load and unload trucks, stage inventory, and support production flow
  • Troubleshoot minor mechanical and electrical issues
  • Help with preventive maintenance and log work in the CMMS system
  • Follow all plant safety procedures (OSHA, NEC, etc.)

What You’ll Need

  • Forklift experience in a manufacturing or plant environment
  • Basic understanding of mechanical/electrical systems
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams or blueprints
  • Familiarity with computer programs like Excel and Word
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently

Bonus Points For

  • Valid forklift certification
  • Light fabrication skills (welding, cutting, etc.)
  • Technical training in maintenance or machinery
