About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Security Analyst - MDR to join our dynamic Managed Detection and Response (MDR) team. As part of our Security Operations Center (SOC), you will play a critical role in monitoring, detecting, analyzing, and responding to cyber threats across client environments. You will leverage cutting-edge security tools, threat intelligence, and incident response methodologies to help protect critical assets and minimize security risks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and analyze security alerts and events from various sources (SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS, firewalls, etc.).
• Triage, investigate, and escalate security incidents in accordance with established playbooks and SLAs.
• Perform in-depth security incident analysis to determine impact, scope, and remediation recommendations.
• Leverage threat intelligence to correlate security events and improve detection capabilities.
• Participate in continuous tuning and optimization of MDR detection rules and use cases.
• Collaborate with client stakeholders and internal teams to deliver actionable reports and recommendations.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of incident response procedures, knowledge bases, and playbooks.
• Support proactive threat hunting activities and identify areas for improvement.
• Stay up to date on the latest cyber threats, attack vectors, vulnerabilities, and trends.

Qualifications:

Required:

• 2+ years of experience in a SOC, MDR, or threat detection/response role.
• Strong knowledge of security event analysis, incident response, and security operations processes.
• Experience with security monitoring tools (SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS, etc.).
• Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK framework, threat hunting techniques, and cyber kill chain.
• Good understanding of common operating systems (Windows, Linux) and network protocols.
• Ability to perform log analysis, packet analysis, and malware investigation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment (shift-based or on-call rotations may apply).

Preferred:

• Industry certifications such as GCIA, GCIH, CEH, CySA+, or similar.
• Experience in scripting or automation (Python, PowerShell, Bash).
• Familiarity with cloud security monitoring (AWS, Azure, GCP).
