Perks and Benefits

• Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour (pay rate set by current contract; subject to future increases)

Schedule and Location

CURRENT OPENINGS: Part Time — Monday, Wednesday and Friday 2pm-6pm (Rockford)

ACA Full-Time — Wednesday to Saturday 11pm-7am

LOCATION: Rockford, MI and Howard City, MI

Primary Responsibilities

As an unarmed Security Officer at DK Security, duties may vary by site. This opening is at the global headquarters for a manufacturer based in Rockford, MI. Some responsibilities may include:

• Customer Service – provide the highest level of customer service when interacting with employees, visitors, and co-workers
• Mobile Patrol – drive the security vehicle around the site, patrolling parking lots and building exteriors
• Patrolling – walk the interior and exterior of the office buildings on site, identify security, safety, and maintenance issues

Success Criteria

• Reliability — report for your shift on time, presentable, and in the prescribed uniform
• Friendly Personality — balance outstanding customer service with client policies and enforcement
• Following Company and Client Policies — read and interpret post guidelines, follow procedures, and complete tasks
• Use of De-escalation Techniques — defuse situations through verbal judo and communication tactics

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age or older
• Must have military, security, or law enforcement experience
• Must have a high school diploma or GED
• No felony convictions and must pass a criminal background check per applicable laws
• Successful drug test at hire and random testing thereafter
• Professional, friendly, and positive image
• Willing to become CPR/First Aid/AED certified
• Valid Driver's License with a good driving record (less than 3 moving violations in 3 years; less than 2 at-fault accidents in 3 years; no major violations)
• Physical requirements: ability to sit, stand or walk for long periods, including stairs; ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally; able to respond to emergencies
