As an Office Manager at Floor Coverings International, you are key to the growth and expansion of the local franchise. Your success will allow for more proposals to be written, lead the scheduling and installation of projects, assist with marketing efforts, and help maintain clean financials.

Office Manager Perks and Benefits

Office Manager Responsibilities:

Customer Management

  • Develop trust with customers by living our Core Values all day and every day.
  • Create raving fans by providing extra-mile service.
  • Convert leads to appointments by scheduling for the sales team.
  • Follow up on open proposals as needed.
  • Keep the showroom and office organized and presentable.
  • Assist in developing, managing & delivering local marketing tactics.
  • Resolve customer conflicts.

Marketing

  • Ensure customers feel cared for by providing extra-mile service.
  • Strengthen emotional connections with customers and the community through engagement and making it fun.
  • Support and participate in home shows.
  • Implement local marketing efforts as needed.

Operations (Production)

  • Meet weekly with sales staff to discuss recent sales, customer expectations, and product orders.
  • Order products needed for jobs and follow up on delivery.
  • Schedule jobs to meet customer and installer schedules.
  • Communicate with installers and customers about start dates and times.
  • Update customers on installation progress.
  • Discuss and obtain permission for changes in work.
  • Confirm scope and payment with installers before starting.
  • Update Salesforce/production board daily.

Financials

  • Complete job costing forms for each landed job.
  • Update QuickBooks daily for income and expenses.
  • Manage timely payment of expenses.

Continuous Improvement

  • Attend weekly meetings with the owner.
  • Submit weekly GS&R Prep forms via email.
  • Work to meet weekly and monthly goals.
  • Attend training seminars as needed.
  • Act in accordance with company values and mission.

Office Manager Qualifications:

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong communication skills, bilingual (English - Spanish) a plus
  • 1-3 years in a customer-facing role; home improvement or in-home sales experience a big plus
  • Organized, detail-oriented, able to multitask
  • Experience with QuickBooks is a plus
  • Ability to work independently
