Senior Night Carer - Care Home

Location: Southampton, SO30 2DF

Hours: 36 hours per week - Nights (3 x 12 hour shifts)

Pay: £14.89 per hour

The Role

As a Senior Care Assistant you’ll play a key part in delivering high-quality, person-centred care.

You will:

• Supervise and inspire a team of Care Assistants, working alongside the Deputy General Manager
• Support the clinical team in areas such as medication, assessments, care plans, and reviews
• Support with the administering and ordering of medication, reviewing and updating resident care plans and risk assessment, and liaising with GP’s, district nursing teams and resident family members
• Ensure residents’ dignity, preferences, and wellbeing are always respected
• Help create a warm, welcoming, and vibrant environment for residents and colleagues

Essential Criteria

• NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care
• Strong knowledge of clinical care for the elderly
• Trained in medication administration
• Compassionate, warm-hearted, and committed to personalised care
• Strong teamwork and leadership skills
