Truck Driver CDL Job at Oldcastle Inc. in Carbondale

Position Overview

This position is responsible for operating a heavy diesel truck equipped with an auxiliary concrete mixer to transport concrete to construction sites. The ideal candidate will maintain the materials in a liquid state during transport, maneuver the truck to feed the concrete mixture, and perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.

Key Responsibilities

• Maneuver truck into loading and unloading positions
• Operate mixer to produce concrete from sand, gravel, cement, and water
• Assemble chutes and operate levers to release concrete per customer request
• Clean truck after loading and after each delivery
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks
• Fill out delivery paperwork and collect payment from customers when required

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements include:

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required
• 2 years of experience as a CDL Driver
• Experience in a building materials/construction industry preferred
• Valid CDL A or B, per DOT Regulations
• Valid Medical Certificate per DOT Regulations
