Champion Home Builders, Inc. seeks a Maintenance Worker to join our team in the Pembroke, NC region.

Overview

Job Title: Plant Maintenance Worker

FLSA Status: Non-exempt

Responsibilities

• Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment.
• Listen for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discuss operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problems or repair machines.
• Dismantle defective machines and equipment and install new or repaired parts.
• Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
• Schedule maintenance in a manner that will not hinder the production team from meeting their scheduled timelines.
• Coordinate repairs in a timely manner to assist the production team in meeting their scheduled timelines.
• Install and repair electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
• Lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
• Repair and maintain the physical structure of the establishment.
• May be required to perform non-maintenance duties on a temporary basis.

Qualifications

• Education and/or Experience: One-year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
