At the same time, you’ll work in a culture of ongoing learning and development, allowing you to constantly expand your area of expertise. **What you'll do:**The Accountant assists the Accounting Manager by performing various accounting procedures including month end close tasks, maintenance of the general ledger and related account reconciliations.**As an Accountant, you will be responsible for:*** Assist in the month-end close, including preparing journal entries, performing account reconciliations, and analyzing and reviewing account classifications in accordance with GAAP* Perform monthly sales tax related duties, including supporting the monthly sales tax return process and recording sales tax journal entries.* Manage Fixed Asset, Royalty Receivable, and Prepaid Expense accounts* Work closely with IT in testing and new procedures between ERP and other systems* Monitor cash balances, perform daily and monthly cash management analysis* Manage Secretary of State registrations* Review vendor invoices and work with the team to rule out discrepancies. Complete invoice corrections appropriately* Help with annual audit requirements of outside auditors* Participate in the Accounting team’s efforts to establish and implement effective financial controls, policies and systems* Perform various other tasks as assigned**Minimum Qualifications:*** Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance* 2-4 years relevant experience, ideally gained through increasingly responsible positions* Strong verbal and written communication skills* Effective presentation skills* Ability to communicate at all levels within an organization* High proficiency with M.S Office Suite, especially Excel* Hands on experience with ERP and accounting reporting systems.
