Successful applicants have:
- 2 years or more of verifiable caregiving experience
- Love of caring for the elderly
- Experience caring for elderly with memory issues/dementia
- Ability to bend, stoop, etc and frequently do heavy lifting
- Valid Driver’s License & proof of Automobile Insurance
- A good driving record w/ the ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Report
- Reliable transportation
- Clean national AND local background check
- Provide at least 2 references of families you have provided care for or former supervisors
- Pass a Caregiver Skills Assessment/Exam
- Reliable internet access, preferably access to tablet or computer in addition to smartphone
Typical case duties:
- Personal care: bathing, dressing, grooming
- Toileting care, including incontinence care
- Assistance with transfers.Light housekeeping including laundry and linens, cleaning bathrooms/kitchen/living areas, etc
- Meal preparation
- Medication reminders
- Companionship
- Transportation
- Errands
