Position Overview
The Office of Mental Health is seeking an experienced Business Analyst – Expert to support the design, testing, and implementation of business intelligence (BI) reporting solutions. The ideal candidate will bring advanced expertise in data analysis, report development, quality assurance, and business intelligence tools to enhance decision-making and operational reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze complex business data to design and develop operational and analytical reports.
Utilize BI tools such as OBIEE, SQL, and Microsoft Excel to create and maintain reporting solutions.
Perform quality assurance testing of reports, including SQL analytics, defect management, and development of user acceptance documents (test plans, test cases, and validation scripts).
Collaborate with stakeholders to solicit reporting requirements and produce clear documentation such as BRDs, use cases, report mockups, wireframes, and flow diagrams.
Support all phases of reporting specifications development: design, testing, implementation, and ongoing maintenance.
Create and deliver end-user training materials and documentation for analytics, dashboards, and BI tools.
Develop and implement system workflows and processes to improve BI environments.
Required Qualifications
84 months of data analytical experience, including the use of BI tools (OBIEE, SQL, Excel) for report design and operational reporting.
84 months of experience in QA testing of reports, SQL analytics, Oracle SQL, defect management, and user acceptance documentation.
60 months of experience in requirements gathering and documentation (BRDs, use cases, report mockups, wireframes, flow diagrams).
60 months of experience with the full lifecycle of reporting specifications, including design, testing, and maintenance.
60 months of experience developing training materials for analytics, dashboards, and BI reports.
60 months of experience implementing system and workflow processes in a BI environment.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business Intelligence, Information Science, Criminal Justice, Health Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Public/Business Administration.
